WHAT IS SAHARA?
SAHARA is a non profit organization (South Asian Helpline and Referral Agency), which is centered around helping the south asian community in legal services, and is one of the few organizations to have a domestic violence shelter for women to restart their lives and lean on SAHARA's support until they are ready.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MARCH
This is a picture from one of our important events, the domestic violence march. Every year we collaborate with our neighboring organizations and march around Pioneer and Artesia to raise awareness against domestic violence.
SAHARA FUNDRAISER
This is a picture of our flyer from the dance fundraiser we did for SAHARA, and raised $700.
DEVIS
What is devis?
DEVIS is a non-profit organization in which different ladies come together in order to celebrate the little things in their life together. One of their biggest events every year is their DEVIS garba. I alongside my friend am in charge of choreographing the dance they perform at the event.
